Tell us about yourself:
I started working at Candylabs six years ago as a Project Manager. Over the years, as
Candylabs grew and sharpened its focus on leading their costumers to create and develop successful products, my area of responsibility grew as well. As account- and Project Manager I am responsible to foresee and fulfill demands not only in my client projects but also for our team and office – even before they are raised.

Tell us about your company/ company you work for:
Candylabs combines entrepreneurial experience and startup DNA with a user-centric approach, data-driven decision-making and a radical focus on value-added outcomes. This makes Candylabs an excellent address for the development of digital products. With our “designed for success” process (strategy, concept, ux/ui design, development and operations) we guide our clients from product idea to successful market placement. Our clients are usually specialists in their specific sector with a business need or venture idea. Candylabs adds digital know-how and broad product development experience. Out of this combination we ensure an iterative route to success while enabling our client’s team to build up and take over responsibility as early as possible.

What do you connect with our theme “Fear Less”?
Fear causes a state of numbness. Being caught up in the same processes, routines and circles of frustration causes fear to fail. Overcoming fear and moving forward is hard work, especially in a fast changing world. Fear less encounter of something -a decision, a personal challenge or a task- enables emotions like strength and freedom. Being fear less means to deal with the very own weaknesses, to accept those. Being fear less means to ask for help, take an approach step-by-step and to work out a strategy or plan. Nobody is entirely fear less but facing fear and taking the challenge makes all the difference. At Candylabs we help our clients to face their challenges, to accept unpleasant truth and at the same time being bold with their valuable ideas and approaches. By supporting with a clear product strategy and established design and development process we enable to fulfill success stories and reduce the freezing fear of failure.

What are you afraid of?
Making critical mistakes that affect other people more than me.

How do you overcome your fear/-s?
Planning and organizing helps me taking control of things I can render while keeping an eye on my limits. So, for example, before I start a workday, I write a to do-list and map out my day. If there are too many tasks on that list, I start prioritizing and move tasks to another day of the week. My planning keeps me ahead and in control while I avoid the insecurity chaos may cause.
Having a team that supports one another is super helpful as well. Every member of our team has their role which forms our daily routines. At the same time everyone is always open to step out of their comfort zone and step up to support a colleague.

What is your favorite TED Talk?
A TED Talk we love and use in workshops with clients is Simon Sinek’s “How great leaders inspire action”. With this TED Talk we like to give our clients an introduction to the golden circle and how we can use it to give their product strategy a clear focus.
